Wow!!!!!!!! I LOVE "Long Way Down" OMG! It's sooooo awesome!!!!!! That scream by Fran and the "do do dos" in the middle ahh...it's SO GOOD! Sorry, lol...this is the first time I've heard it properly! WOW! Thanks so much for posting this, but one thing...what's up with that crowd? Seriously, they're like dead.
Oh, and I love Fran's hat and Dougie's coat...although he's probably really hot with that thing on, lol! |

| Long Way Down is awesome Nikki. In my opinion better than Something Anything. You can't tell by that performance, though maybe you can, but it's nearly as rocky but more bouncy. The do do dos aren't in the proper version. Claes's piano plus Andy's guitar I believe. :) |

Yeah! I love that it's bouncy!
Maybe the do do dos will make the album version...??? I hope that scream makes the album. I love when Fran screams. :D ROCK ON! Hey, I don't know if I've mentioned this yet, but I'm really excited for this album. ;P |

The scream is on the album, see this bit of the recording diary:
This (Long Way Down) is a throat shredder for Franny and involves perhaps one of the most blood curdling screams on record. Sitting in the room while he's doing it I'm reminded how loud his voice is. Frightening. |

How do you know this for sure? Have you got something we don't? i.e. Long Way Down (Studio Version)?
It wasn't in the live versions in February, but might have been added since in the studio.
ps - Where are the reviews, setlists, pictures in the tour archive? It's empty. Come on everyone that went, share please! |

LOL! That line of the song is actually really funny. I like the lyrics a lot and especially love the part where they yell "MAMA!" and "PAPA!" Kayte, So I'm guessing you just skip over "PTFO" all together. ;) |

| Gahhhhh how good was that! Was so great to see them after well over a year. Still getting used to the new songs and thought it was very brave of them to play so many news to a festival crowd and actually drop "why does it always rain on me" for it. There was alot of gutted people tho, some guy on the way out asked me "did I miss the beginning of the set or did they not play why does it always rain on me????" Wish I had known about Frans little solos...oh well :) |
