hey. my first post here. what i wanted to say is that the gig was awesome, it really looked like the guys were enjoying themselves, loving the crowd's metronomic clapping and beautiful singing. well, we latvians are famous for our perfect singing voices ;]
and i just read fran's russia blog. i had no idea he knew renars, and i'm sure fran had a fabulastic time on thursday, cuz renars is one hel.. heaven of a guy. and it's funny, cuz i always thought these two have something in common, never knowing they're friends. you just take one look at them and you can't help but smile. it's in their eyes.. ;]
so yeah, about the gig - it was great, i laughed, i cried, i screamed, i sang along. and the whole crowd loved them. i also met a couple of my friends after their gig who previously have complained about travis being too whiny and blah blah, but everyone had sung their lungs out and jumped their butts off. every single person was jumping to wdiarom, and i'm almost sure they'd be jumping even without fran's invitation ;] it was wonderful, you guys were better than the manics! ;] thanks so so freakin much and please do come back again!

there are now plenty of videos on youtube and especially those WDIAROM are kinda funny :D My 'taller friend'(hahaa) said the place was crowded but it was lovely to see also the back of the audience jumping, it looked so amazing! i did film the beginning of the song but my hand wasn't the steadiest at that moment, haha

I love to jump and look behind me and see the crowd jumping all together... I love to look at the stage, but I love to look at the crowd too.
I re-read Fran’s blog and i'm so glad that the band enjoyed the show as much as we did. Of course it was obvious already when they were on the stage that they were having a good time, they kept smiling and making eye contact with people in the crowd and really rocking out :)
Oh, by the way, did you guys know that Fran is an excellent human beatbox? Yeah! After Closer ended the crowd kept repeating "closer, closer, lean on me now" and Fran backed us up with pretty impressive beats :D
There was a very positive review about Travis's show and the whole festival in one Estonian newspaper, and it said that there were about 5,000 people watching Travis. It must've been quite a sight from the stage to see all of them pogoing during WDIAROM :D
Juuli, since i arrived a bit late i was standing a bit further back (10-15 row) smack in the middle. So i had an excellent view of Dougie, Fran and Andy, but only occasionally got to see Neil :( After the show i did think of coming to the front of the stage to see if i could find/recognise any boardies, but got cold feet and just left. Silly me :S
