I hear the voice(s) also. Though I haven't noticed until you guys made me aware of it. Def sounds like someones humming along to a song or something.
I love these kinds of findings, maybe Fran could enlighten us on this matter?

I'm sure there is no secret behind it....the level on someone else's mic was probably just not all of the way down....I mean, you really can't hear it under normal listening conditions.
Either that or it is just an anomaly from the recording process.
If I wanted to waste some time, I could probably isolate it and figure it out....but probably not if it is nothing.... |

yes I can hear it too. I guess it is Dougie's voice but I'm not sure. And I almost had an heart attack when the guitar part came in. :) |

It sounds like an English voice? Is this Nigel Godrich's voice... |

Just got home from listening to the track on Mike's studio monitors. You don't need headphones with those things...what a great way to listen to an album. You can hear everything SO clear! He tweaked the highs and lows a bit and isolated the "1, 2, 3, 4..." section for us. It sounded to us like someone rapping at first, lol. There is a definite "yeah!" at the end and it's right in time with Fran's countdown. It could be someone in the studio singing, speaking or, as some boardies have previously mentioned, it could be something coming through from an old recording they taped over to do the countdown bit. I'm just amazed by how clear it was on Mike's speakers compared to my car speakers on full blast that didn't pick up anything. |

Well, i´ve listened the voice too.
Is loudy, but the voice is between the 2 and the 4...
I was listining the track on vinyl, cd and iTunes and definitely is the same voice. I can´t listen what said, but i listened two words exactly in the 2 and in the 4.
Maybe was a voice when Travis was recording the album.
If someone here want to listen it, should put the volume veri high to can listen it. |
