| Maybe he is over rated. I just know he's made quite a few films I've happened to enjoy very much. Not a particular fan of Spielberg but he has made some great films I think. :) |

| haha ok, the empire of the sun, ithink indeed is a great movie, but that's the only movie i really enjoy XD. I think there are better directors in the world that make a great job, but they are underrated. |

Don't know much about any one director. I obviously know of directors but not enough about any to make any real opinion of them.
And actually I've never seen that film. Haha. :)
Indy 4 isn't great, but I did enjoy it. Saw 4 reviews of it. 1 gave 4 stars, the other 3 gave it 3 stars. I'm somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. :) |

War of the Worlds sucked ass as a movie.
Minority Report is excellent, as are many other Senior Spielbergo films - Jaws, ET, Jurassic Park, Schindlers List, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Empire of the Sun.
But since the late nineties, he's lost it - Amistad, AI, The Terminal, War of the Worlds, Munich, Indy 4 all suck dick.
And Lucas, well, that the best Star Wars film (empire) is the only one not directed by him says it all for me. Asswipe. |

I wasn't asking you no. Its score on imdb, people I've spoken to and reviews I've read suggest it is a pretty good film.
War Of The Worlds is a good film too.
I don't have a strong opinion on Lucas. |

| And that cartoon/comic thing on the previous page is slightly unfair as the original 3 were highly unrealistic and laughable at times too. That scene could have been in the other films. Moments from Temple Of Doom spring to mind, THAT is a poor Indy film. |

I'm so angry & upset. Worse than the phantom menace. this seemed to hurt more. The ending especially. Oh my god was the ending so thoroughly thoroughly inappropriate and not in keeping with the spirit of the character.
The whole film, plot, storyline, character arcs, cinematography, action, stunts, direction and even music (John Williams, say it aint so) sucked ass. Big hair manky ass.
George Lucas is now my mortal enemy.
I haven't seen it, but I am an archaeologist so I despise it on principle. |

i concurr , he doesn't end his movies well , tacks on a 10-15 min happy endding |
