Dance was just an example. Mmm, I think you may be thinking of us British as posher than most of us are. Thats all. :)
Perhaps. There was a lot of PBS/BBC in my house as a kid. But posh or not, there is a difference in the pronunciation, dah-ling.
Maybe what we need is a YouTube video of Claes saying his own name. |

There's certainly differences and sometimes we do do an 'ar' sound I just thought like tomato. But isnt like that every time at all. Also there are so many different accents throughout England. Its mad!!! :) Haha.
This thread about Song To Self has turned into how things are pronounced. Its all Fran's fault for confusing us! :) |

I love the name Sven.
I also wonder why some people say "idear" instead of "idea".
And I agree, a videoblog would be the best way to solve this matter! |

Clees Tees Meess. Thats how it would sound in South African. Reeeeegggss! Murrrtagh! I realise this has no real bearing, but thought it would be fun to confuse the issue.
Oh, on a big tanget, i was reading Dave Gormans 'Unchained America' novel this week, and got to the bit where he stops in Salt Lake City. There's a big bit about him meeting some mormons, and an explanation of the Church of the latter day saint. It was a J. Smith that invented that religion. J. Smith, Mormon inventor at large. I found this quite amusing. |
