David Bowie called his daughter Zowie
Frank Zappa called his daughter Moon Unit
Bob Geldof allowed Paula Yates to call the children, Peaches, Pixie, Fifi-Trixibell and Heavenly Hirani Tigerlily(although I think the last one was due to the pervert from INXS so he had no say in that).

i don't know why people dislike them though...maybe you could tell me..
WEELLL...
1) They are overplayed
2) They are (to me) overrated
3) Chris Martin is a soppy wankbag with an irritating voice
4) Who the fuck calls their child Apple?
5) There was that time everyone just went on and on and on about them and every soft soppy rock band got compared to them
6) All my points are starting to blend into eachother, but I had the displeasure of meeting him sort of, he was an arrogant tit.
7) I feel better about numbering this even tho they possibly shouldn't be numbered anymore. I'm fed up of people expecting me to like Coldplay. I'm fed up of them being forced down my fucking throat. They are one of the reasons I stopped listening to the radio. I'm very sorry, but Coldplay < Shite.
I'm sure someone else can add something to this that makes more sense than my anti-Coldplay ramblings.
I'm still laughing at this cause i agree with ever point! well... except 6 seein as i've never met him! |

Perhaps it's not fruit in Apple's case, but computers...
In Finland it's very difficult to give your child a strange name, there's a law against it. |

There's another way to look at it. There are a lot of people in the world and only so many names. It's likely that common names are going to become way too common. Names go in and out of fashion like clothing. Really, it's just tradition, what's acceptable and what's not. What's considered weird at one time is a fad ten years later.
We're all different people, why shouldn't we all have different names? |

Coldplay played the Fillmore after TRAVIS did a few times . Coldplay was already playing larger venues at the time but wanted to sweat on the same stage as Travis I'm guessing |

If I ever have kids I'm going to give them Old Timey names...Like Amos or Mable or something. Heh. I actually quite like Amos.
Anyway, Topic? The reason I'm not that fond of Coldplay is just that they disappoint me terribly. That's all, they are neither bad nor good for me. At this point I don't even think about them much. *shrug* |

For the longest time I thought Coldplay's name was Cold Plate. Like when you go to the cafeteria, you can choose from the hot lunch or the cheaper cold lunch. |
