See what I am saying is just got you use a 12 string and minor 7 chords it doesn't make you a folk artist? Unless you write folky tunes.
I can see how they influenced by it and the rest and blah I can't be bothered to carry on my argument. Especially as I dont know if yous winding me up or not :P

No term paper due, that was just my way of being funny (luckily I am done with college, or as its called in the UK, University:) It seems like a topic for a thesis or a term paper. It's actually just a subject I think we all have an opinion on, and thankfully we don't all think the same.
Some of these lyrics in Travis songs are pretty down good, and I think this one ranks up there....
Mike
P.S. Hiya to all of you Travis likers in the U.K.

What the hell is an axiom?
I'm not a hundred percent sure but I think it is: a self evident truth. It doesn't need to be proven, I think..
Dubz
Here's proof that an internet message board for a "folk" band can actually be educational.
Thanks to none other than Dubz (the smart lad sporting the beer glass icon, full I might add)...I've looked up axiom because it piqued my interest.
"In traditional logic, an axiom or postulate is a proposition that is not proved or demonstrated but considered to be self-evident. Therefore, its truth is taken for granted, and serves as a starting point for deducing and inferring other (theory dependent) truths."
Who knew? Beer, opinions and axioms could work so well together. This is one of those kind of words that I can use and even probably multiple choice out the meaning if I had to, but it's nice to refresh the brain once in a while as well.
Mike
P.S. Also my original post referred to Ferris Bueller's Day Off when I posted "Anyone, Anyone?", sorry if the reference was missed or too obscure......
P.P.S. To quote Barrack Obama "Yes WE CAN!!!"....
P.P.P.S. To quote former President William Jefferson Clinton, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"(shake finger)
P.P.P.P.S. Done P.PSing especially comments wholly unrelated to post topic. Then again these are just opinions, mind you. |

Shows how much any of us pay any attention - the title to this forum is a lyric from 3 times and you lose it seems. |

Before I begin, wow, what a Profile! Funny as heck. Now to the issue at hand, the view that somehow U.S. likers have been excluded from a recent "Hiya".
Rest assured, I do have use for U.S. likers. Although I did not "Hiya" U.S. likers on that particular post, this omission does not lessen my use for U.S. likers.

P.S. Hiya U.S., U.K., western Australia, and eastern China Travis likers.

Glad you liked my profile. I must suggest that you immediately say hi to the Central and South American crowd before you get into trouble with them.
Maybe the Canadians too. And any scientists in Antarctica.

Mike, perhaps just say hello to any Travis fans living within the Milky Way. Then all your bases are (hopefully) covered. Don't think there are any alien boardies....at least not ones outside of the Milky Way. |
