| There was a movie called Coupe de Ville (1990?) where 3 brothers have to drive a Coupe de Ville down to Florida as a gift for their mother's birthday. At one point, one of the brothers starts singing "Louie Louie." The other brothers are telling him he's singing the wrong lyrics. (I think it's Patrick Dempsey.) He keeps singing all these crazy lyrics that he thinks are right. My friend and I laughed ourselves silly in the theater. We were the only ones laughing. People were turning around in their seats looking at us. Of course, that made it even funnier. Years later, I rented it with my boyfriend (now husband) to see if it was really that funny, or if I was just off my rocker before. The same thing happened. I laughed like a hyena and he sat there looking at me like I was a nut. I think I need to see it again, just to make sure. Hee hee hee. |

I can't remember any funny one. But considering I listen to a lot of music in English, I make up lyrics all the time.
That Mmmmbop post reminded me that a friend of mine thought that in that song it said "in a cool surface". When in fact it says "and they're gone so fast". |

during the chorus to 'loser' by Beck:
i heard: say, open the door (i'm a loser baby...)
he sings: soy un perdedor....
pretty embarrassing considering i speak spanish!!!! haha |

I used to think it said "open the door" too!!! I think my sister told me it said "soy un perdedor" xD.
