Did my medical required for going offshore today, since my previous one has lapsed. After the hearing test, the doctor pointed out that I'm actually going deaf in the upper frequencies, 6 - 8 kHz, at a much younger age than was expected! Eeeeek
Doctor reckons it's probably due to my 6 months stint working bar in a gig venue, plus clubbing.
Anyone else have this problem?! I know Pete Townshend does after years of gigging. Didn't expect it to happen to me!
I'm slightly deaf from my left ear since I was like 13. It's a very small difference, so the doctor thinks it's still "normal". I have no idea about frequences. I've checked my hearing two years ago and it's still the same... I guess that's a good thing. I hate hearing tests, I get so afraid!
Anyway, I know how you must be feeling, so here's a little sympathy from the argie girl :o)

Glad that it hasn't changed in awhile. I don't fear them anymore since my hearing came back but there was a time I hated them and I was so sick of it. One weird thing is that my ear holes (to use the technical term) are really tiny so they have to use the kid size instruments on me. They would always laugh at me.
Hopefully Moray won't totally give up on his youth just because he's a bit deaf. You're still rockin' it, right??
