Hehe, a typo or two doesn't make you dyslexic :oP
It's an amazing ability to be able to teach things like that to other people. Technically, I'm allowed to teach English (and French, but let's not go there!). However, I don't have the patience for it.
I've got a master's degree in English translation/interpretation. If I wasn't a language nerd before taking this degree, I definitely am now lol |

Ah, no - it's official! Apparently if i wasn't dyslexic i'd be a successsful career woman by now and not an house mum. Of course if we didn't move so often it would help. But serioulsy the assessor said i'd have got higher exam marks cos my brain seizes and my hand won't write what i want it too. When i was younger i always assumed i thought too fast and that was why my brain stuttered. It does give me a great insight into how to help those with dyslexia to read cos i devopled loads of strategies. (Only diagonsed myself 4 years ago) |

It must be a mild form of dyslexia though, if you've been able to learn how to read/write anyway. It sounds like you developed those strategies unconsciously.
I have trouble keeping apart left/right. Especially if I get stressed or I'm under pressure. Apparantly, it's related to dyslexia although I've never had trouble reading or writing. |

I wouldn't mind reading Lucile's paper once it's done. I imagine it's quite interesting! |

Mostly mild but when under pressure to write quickly and coherently (like in exams) it gets bad - never had a problem reading though - i am the speediest reader i know (av 330 wpm) but i have l/r mix up, poor memory, letter translation problems and a brain that seizes (that's the worst bit), words move on the page, i get shadowing of text, and chucks of paragraph float around (i just though that that was what happened to everyone!) Typng is much easier if a little slower that writing (so easy to correct mistakes)
Lucille paper would be intersting - do youthink she will be able to share? |

I'm impressed that you've been able to learn to write anyway. A lot of people would probably have given up.
If she's writing a doctorate, then she should definitely be able to share. As far as I know, these things get published. Even my thesis was published and it can be downloaded as a PDF (at least the last time I checked!). I wrote it in Danish though, so I doubt anyone here wants to read it lol |

Are you sure you want to inflict that upon yourself? ;) I'd love to share (I've already written 200 pages or so) but it's in French.
