I think John Hannah and that Norther Irish Guy are the same dude... you never see them in anything together, and Scottish/N.Irish accents are very similar.

I quite like Hannah as an actor his thing with the pathologists was very good, however they tried him playing Rebus and it just doesn't work, he's far too nice Rebus is a bit of a Cnut.

it's actually part of a trilogy, from Here to eternity being the first , then the last is Whistle . They never filimed that one though
