Happy Halloween everyone!
We get anywhere from 100-200 kids at our door, and we've giving away the good stuff! Snickers, Milky Way, Twizzlers, Reeses, Almond Joy, we have 3 buckets of candy sitting by the door.

She went to her neighbor's house to ask if this was a common occurrence and found out about Halloween and also learned that canned goods were not a traditional treat.
That is so funny. I'd never heard that people used to say "help the poor." |

This is the first year in like the past 3/or 4 that I ain't going to a Halloween Party. Keeping it low key this year so no fancy dress.....which is a pity!
We got Halloween rhymers calling to our house last saturday evening and I had totally forgotten about it so no sweets in the house. I ended up routing through my purse to find change.....bloody kids cost me a small fortune! lol But they looked sooooooooo cute.
We just moved into our street in Feb and oh my gosh it is like kiddie central! Loads of kids, halloween decorations etc. I think our house and a couple of other have no decorations....I feel guilty but will make up for it come Christmas! lol :) |

That's why some older people call it "begging." My grandparents used to ask, "Are you going begging tonight?" and I'd always wonder why. I'd say, "You don't have to beg, they just give it to you." |

What is this Saturday night business? Halloween is TONIGHT. It's not a week or a seasonal thing. It's one night that you can go ask for candy. All other nights is just plain begging!
It is a good thing they were cute. |

Talking about house decoration, some ppl in my folks village bought a massive inflatable Santa and put it on the house's balcony.
Quite a sensation i must say (last year it drove many ppl to walk in that neighbourhood to look at it).
The thing is about 4 meters high and is surrounded by all kind of lights in different patterns/shapes and colours that blink 24/24, on the balcony but also around the house.
My dad says it's only a matter of time before a plane lands on the house.

They do that too in my village...some houses look alright but others scream "bad taste".
My mum only put candles coz she likes it to be "understated".
Next Xmas, i'll take pictures of that insane Santa.

I'm thinking about popping a movie, preferably suspenseful (not so much scary). I'm thinking... Hitchcock |
