The markets are what makes camden Camden. Without it it would just be like any other part of any city. They are knocking down part of the Stables which have been there for fucking yeeeaaars, I'd rather have Camden market be 'so 1990' than just like any other district full of Starbucks and more of the same old bloody big businesses.
i agree but going to Camdem Market on saturday/sunday is a nightmare
in Dallas (or Denton), TX...i hate the heat and humidity. i also hate the traffic. we also have horrible public transportation.
specifically in Denton, i hate the fact that because the city's growing, they've put in a ton of shops before building the roads that would take you to the shops. so, at this time of year, we're sitting in traffic in horrible 100+ temperatures!
don't want to ! i like Islington and i LOVE Bloomsburry (lived in Russel Square) but want to find a neighbourhood feeling where i live.
Little Venice is nice too but not so sure about living here.

Marylebone is great...i'd like living there.
Yeah there ain't much of a neighbourhood feeling, only got one neighbour here. See the same people in the same pubs tho, I like that Camden has that. I dont think I'd want to live anywhere else =)
Munich, Germany: I don't like the fact that the city is such a magnet for people from other parts of Germany, rich people, who move here for good and change the general picture of Munich to "posh, decadent and expensive". That's really annoying, they just... instead of mingling with the locals, they stick together in their crowds, they think they're better than others because they "made it" to Munich, and can afford living here, and they act like they own the city *sighs* sometimes it's horrible, really...
And I can see how the neighbourhood I grew up in changed "thanks to" all the young couples from the North. When I was small, we had this multicultural, friendly neighbourhood, everyone knew each other and it was like living in a very small town, not in a great city. When I went to the pub round the corner they knew me, my parents' shop was kind of a meeting place, people were coming in for a chat and a cup of tea... and now it's become so anonymous... (that's because of the new big warehouses, too, of course)
oh and I kind of dislike the city during Octoberfest, it's like a Bavarian theme park then, I can't believe how many people come here to experience the "Wiesn" ;)

Can the same be said of Frankfurt ? i mean, i knew a bunch of ppl living in that city and working for the FAZ and boy, did they think the owned the world !
Not that i should make any comment, as i'm miss name-dropping !
lol
SLC, Utah...There's a severe lack of gelato here. Also, it's been really hot here and I'm tired of it.
For the most part, I really like living here. It's beautiful, the landscape/terrain is extremely diverse...we have the Rocky Mountains, and then we've got places like Moab, and Arches, Lake Powell. People for the most part are pretty friendly, although it would be nice to have more diversity here (people wise.)

I think Frankfurt is different, because it's such a business-city. It HAS to be like that there, people have to think they own the world when they work for the big and important companies and banks and newspapers ;)

Nope, only when I get it for free. In the less conservative families, people read the Sueddeutsche Zeitung. It's as good as the FAZ, but less conservative and less economy-focused.
