That was a great interview. He did ask some great questions. It's understandable him but it was funny to me that he didn't know about the SNL cowbell skit and was so confused as to why Ben Stiller played cowbell on a song.
I also liked them talking up 12 Memories some. I've never understood why that album took such a beating. It's different but I have always liked it. And why not give them the space to experiment?
I also liked Fran getting after the guy a bit for asking, "why did you pick the name Clay?" It's true, the reason for picking a name can often be pretty metaphysical- esp. for such a thoughtful, creative person such as Fran. |

Confession: I didn't know the SNL thing about cowbell as well. Lol

Neither did I.. I tried (like fran said) to look it up on youtube, but I only got what seemed to be remakings of the skit. Does anyone have a link to a proper version? I'd really like to see it :) |

I didn't mean to make anyone feel bad if they didn't get it either! Like I said, I would expect some journalist from Amsterdam to know about an American skit. Here is a link. The video quality isn't great but it'll do:

I'm curious to know what you think of it once you watch it! I thought it was funny since the time I saw it on TV but wondering if it's the same for others. |
