Kristy, what's the difference between cider and Pimms? Never had the latter.
you MUST try Pimms! you can get it in a can at Sainsbury(ha! so classy). Umm, I think Pimms is gin based? it isnt as fruity as cider and you add lemonade and fruit and cucumber to it. Sort of a herby/citrus-y flavoured. |

I don't really drink alcohol, but when I lived in Madrid, I was introduced to what apparently is one of THE Spanish summer drinks - and loved it: "tinto de verano", a mix of (inexpensive) red wine and a particular brand of "fizzy" lemonade (LaCasera. It looks like Sprite but tastes like someone mixed Sprite with more sugar and water*).
(*Mónica will probably disagree ;D) |

this white wine variation totally caught my eye...i'm gonna make it this weekend...but with yellow peaches, my fave.
-1 bottle white wine
-3/4 cup peach flavored vodka (that doesn't sound like enough in my opinion...what a lush. haha)
-6 tablespoons frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
-1/4 c white sugar
-1 pound white peaches, pitted and sliced
-3/4 c seedless red grapes, halved
-3/4 c seedless green grapes, halved

white sangria can be delish or go horribly wrong. A few summers ago I was at my cottage with some friends and we bought Funky Llama wine. Clearly we bought it because it had a cute name. it was AWFUL. So we cut up fruit and put it in. Added some peach concentrate. It just kept getting stronger! It was from that moment on that we vowed never to buy wine based on a cute name. We never stick to it. |

Ahhh Merih, you never disappoint, Talisker is a very strong(for the un-initiated) single malt, with peaty flavour, it really is a georgous whisky. Try one or two then drink the cheap stuff because after 2/3 you're just wasting it.
