Last gig I went to was a band or guy called "SEVEN"
It was ok - people had fun.
What really got me angry - sorry I am a bit weird in that kind of way: is that for the last song he used the same "introduction" as Fran does - when he's explaining the Pogo. Now he copied it word by word - as he was the prev. band of Travis at the Gurten.
Got me a bit mad. But well - the rest of the concert was quite fun.
Pogo was ok - but not only in the first 5-6 rows - after those it kind died.
Not like Travis ;)
well
The other band I went to see was Oasis - before they split. Was kinda disapointed.
LIked the songs - but Liam didn't move a bit! Noel was the one entertaining the audience - and actually doing the bit of talk they did.
The best thing though was a group drunk guys coming from Manchester. They really did a show down there in the audience. Soooo much fun with them.
Ahhh and Liam got a bottle thrown at - that's when he actually moved! :)

Coldplay at Hampden on Wednesday night. Rating? Off the chart. Spiritual. Etheral. Beautiful. Perfect.
Oh and to add to the Coldplay jealousy, check how close I accidently was to them, by virtue of standing right next to the stage where they do the acoustic set from:

Jay-Z was great in support to, fo shizzle |

Nice pics Moray ;) I have to say that I didn't see any of their techno and acoustic set two weeks ago because I was in front of the stage and I had no idea where they went :p The big screens helped a bit :p

kinda their trademark , i saw like early 90's i liked em but just never got around to seeing them again
Exactly - lots of colourful stuff going on when they're live, (they used to have folks dressed up as animals dancing on the stage) but, even if that doesn't float your boat, the music really is tasty. Give them another chance! :)
There were people dressepd up as animals in Barcelona as well :p Pic here :D I'll try and give them another chance ;) |

Elbow M.E.N Arena 18th September
The last date of this tour which has finally seen them given the recognition they deserve.
The gig itself beautiful , fireworks and ticker tape to end a brilliant night.
Time to return to Glasgow. |

Asaf Avidan and the Mojos, two weeks ago.
A friend had won 2 tickets and kindly took me along. I only knew one of their songs (youtube only), and I got quite a shock when I heard the singer's voice live.
for the first 15 minutes I thought "that man (woman?) is SO going to ruin his (her?) voice if he (she?) keeps on singing like that"... but then I got used to it, and after 25 minutes I really loved the intensity of their performance.
All in all, one of the most intense and strangely touching concerts I've ever been to, 8/10.

Obviously, Frand and Andy, Oct 39 at the Mod Club, 10/10.
Prior to that ---and don't laugh--- dum de dum dum....
I took my 9 year old to the Jonas Brother's Concert!
They were actually quite good, even did a cover of 'Sweet Caroline' for the Mum's in the audience.( sweet )I preferred Fran's vesion here in Toronto but oh well, The taret audience were incredibly pleased! There you go!
Lauryn rates it 10/10! |
