If you did the most minimal of research and looked at maybe two setlists and saw they were different you could have spared yourself the wrath of us angry Travis fans.
I don't know what you were trying to achieve with that comment, but it literally made me sick.
sure, Radiohead have been playing live for nearly 20 years and never played the same set twice, but you can't expect that of every band, and as Fran has said on numerous times, Travis play every gig as if it was their first, and clearly enjoy mixing things up and playing a vast amount of tracks on their 6 great albums.
so, "suspicious trend" is neither a trend nor suspicious.
you have wasted our valuable, valuable time.

Nah :) I don't think fans are "angry" bout this :) it's just a question and a discussion :) If u get angry bout something like this :) u may have an anger-problem :P (so not u personally - "u" the guys who are angry just because someone said something :D like this :) )

hehe :)

And about wasting time :) if it's wasted time :) why writing? I really don't think it was wasted :) It was fun to read through all this comments and I enjoyed participating :)

just take it easy :)

btw: anything else you said : I agree

I think we all and myself included were maybe a little harsh here. Sure it's a strange thing to say but maybe we were a little too angry. Haha.

I believe if we counted we'd be able to count 35-40 different songs that Travis have played on this recent tour. As well as bringing 3 Times and You Lose back into the set list, starting to play "Side Wide Open" and 3 b-sides they played a couple of covers too. :)

You should've seen what my original post was, before I watered it down. ;)

i have been to 5 travis concerts and honestly speaking, i don't care if they played the same songs in all the concerts i went to (clarification: they didn't :) )

travis can play same set 100 times and i would still do my best to go to their concerts...i have a travis play list in my ipod that i rarely changed...so in actuality, i have been listening to same set of travis songs (over and over and over)...

peace :)

Has anyone else noticed that Travis plays a near identical setlist at every show (at least, for the last two years)? They have 6 albums, how is it that the same songs keep getting played? Have they forgotten how to play the others? I don't understand this.

I highly doubt I will ever go to another show if it's going to be the exact same thing I've seen...3 times now. It looks like even the acoustic setlist in boston included the same songs they always play. Wouldn't an acoustic setting like that be perfect for some of the older ballads that seem to have been forgotten?

Apparently I believe there is a confusion. Is just not only the fact of playing a different setlist every show, anyone who has had a band (and I include myself) know that it is quite difficult to adjust the "set up": amplifiers, switch the order of effects in the Stompbox, pedals for each song, synth effects, and all this in less than a day.

6 albums? more than 80 songs? and the time of rehearse and test?
I believe that each tour is to promote the new album "and not just to play songs randomly"

Boston acoustic set? I think these songs are perfect for an acoustic set only with Fran and Andy. Or wanted to Chinese Blues? Where is the piano?

Travis does the best every shows and some songs by surprise. Must see this effort and not just think about playing the same setlist

Or you know any group that every show tour change all the setlist?

I do not

I totally agree with you. Even if they play the same setlist every time I attend a concert (which they don't), each time will be so different and special to me. Every time it feels differently from the other. I'm not the same person typing this right now than doing it now ;o). Maybe it's not the setlist or they who need to change (or being mix up) but ourselves, don't you think so? ;o)

same setlist..?
I've been to 2 shows in 9 months and one third of the songs was different from each other.

and I was JEALOUS cos there were sarah and colder in Japan and few days later in Korea there was no sarah nor colder!
but there was Happy anyway..whatever.

I think you didn't look up the setlists enough :)

and who cares Travis 'is' or 'are'...I can barely speak in English. it's okay if it makes sense to me :P

Calm down!

What an over reaction. So someone posted a negative opinion. I also don't agree with it. But hell, life's too short to get so upset.

Famine, murder, swine flu - ok, knock yourself out! But not over a bad gig review.

Geez I'm actually more pissed off at this post than the original one!
