I'm sooooo much happier with this new version! It is definitely the kind of video I expected the first time. I think this new video is great!!! Thanks and congrats to Jon Danovic!!!

So Jon Danovic is a fan and he made this new version or did someone on the Travis team make it? I'm confused. |

| I'm just curious..did jon danovic do this or did the travis web team do this because did he manage to download all the vids but if that's the case how is it the travis YouTube channel..I just presumed travis read our complaints..probably fran or the web team |

It was on TravisonlineTV's account, but Jon Danovic is listed as a tag. I can only guess he's a Travis team member or a fan or both. He's a director of some sort.
Perhaps Jon would like to step into the spotlight, explain and take his bow? |

I really like it!! And I think it was INCREDIBLY cool for them to do.That actually means more to me as a fan than the actual video (though it is good!) because it means they care... think about it, in no way did they have to do another video presumably simply because their fans weren't happy.
Don't you think maybe they asked Jon Danovic to do it for them, if it's the kind of thing he does? |

OK I sent our mystery man a message via youtube and this is what he wrote back. I asked him to either post on the board or allow me to share what he wrote. He just sent me another message saying I could share what he wrote to me.
(I signed my messaged the mom shopping in the blue coat so while he got it a bit mixed up that is why he is saying that)
dear the mom in the blue shopping coat,
i'm a video maker out of los angeles, and when i heard about the submissions i submitted mine... when i saw the final edit i just thought it didnt do much justice to the best of the peoples out there and i wished i could edit a version with more cuts that looked more like a real video for the song, cause its an amazing idea and its never reaaly been done exactly right with all the bands who have tried.
in this case i had all the raw footage, obviously, so i did one on my own...
i felt kinda bad about it considering it was already done, but i really liked the song and video concept so i went ahead. are you the original editor? if so i am so sorry about doing a second version, :( i hope that if you are you're not offended, and if you aren't then i hoppe your happy with the cut :D
so ya, i guess they didnt ask me to no, i just sent it to them in hopes they wouldnt be offended and crossed my fingers :D

So no Travis didn't ask him but clearly they liked it enough to post on their channel.

hey, sorry it took me so long to get wind of this thread, i'm a youtube communicater :(
this is nice tho, thanks to WEIRDmom i now know where my dawgz are at :D
thank you all so much for watching, granted its all of us that were in the video and all of us + a few friends and family members that are gonna see it, lets hope it gets big... i think we all did a great job and this shows that travis has maybe not the largest fanbase in comparison to such amazing bands like nickelback or miley cyrus, but that we are definitely the most creative.
whoever the origianl editor was i cannot express my gratitude for you even letting this go without a fight, i hope you understand that i just wanted to see everyone i could possibly get in it in it, and that i have nothing but respect for the edit you did :D
that all being said, lets push to get this thing into travis's ipod touches or whatever it is they watch the lost glorious art of music videos on and let them know how much hard work went into it :D
and maybe get it on the next DVD compilation ;D
