Smith EP than the album. Actually I liked J. Smith better on the EP as well. Maybe what that really means is that I liked them when I first heard them but now I'm growing more bored of 'em, I dunno.
By the way, I'd just like to point out that I am in no way associated with any of these loony boardie folk. They just happen to be occupying the same virtual space as I am. :P
ahah lol. Well I used to love Get Up, but I went off it after hearing the album, possibly because it doesn't really fit in?
Thanks for posting the interview anyway!!! |

And Paperclips is brilliant, unlike Get Up :oP
See, I wouldn't say Paperclips is a better song than Get Up, but I feel that Paperclips at least fits the mood of 12 Memories better than Get Up fits the mood of Ode... |

Safe sums up the really cosy feeling of listening to TIB for me, you know it's not adventurous music but it's familiar and... safe I suppose. In a good way :) |

Paperclips has much deeper lyrics and more feeling to it than Get Up, which is just a fun song for me...
When you let Paperclips into your heart, you'll never let it go, but you can let Get Up go after a couple of listens.
That's the difference between a GOOD song and a GREAT song. ;) I'm babbling... |

Both Alex and James I agree. Safe is a great song without being a classic. Like a lot of that album. Just great songs that people don't speak about much like The Cage, Pipe Dreams, Last Train etc. :) And Get Up was my favourite when I first heard the songs live. It was catchy, rough, rocky. After repeated listens, it didn't help it and I started to appreciate songs like Quite Free and Last Words. :) |

Thank you so much for (posting) the interview!! Fran answered my two questions, the first one for the tour has fortunately taken care for itself, (only 4 weeks to go!) and the other one...
WHO IS MANFRED??? What did he tell you, Fran? That your german accent is bad? Hey, you say you've entertained the idea of singing german, so wasn't it your first instict to do that? And I'm sure, Manfred would forgive you sometimes...
And: I'm from the "I LOVE GET UP"-fraction, too!!
thinking, thinking... Wouldn't that be a nice shirt?

Thanks! ;o) Made me a stencil right now, and I'm off looking for a black shirt in my wardrobe... I'll let you see the results!
Ha, and now I finally know what I'll wear at the Travis gig! Why? The Wee Store didn't send my Ode shirt! Do It Yourself is hot now!!! |
