I understand what the situation is like, I don't need a shitty extra actor on a crappy set or fucking CGI to explain it to me, I get it!! Just tell me it's ok I will understand, it's the equivalent of showing people picture books. Show me news reels by all accounts but for fuck sake leave the shitty actors out.
This rant reminded me of this

Frank Skinner did a gag years ago about photograph's in local newspapers.
The example he used was someone retiring, they'll have a photo of them at the gate, with the boss shaking their hand and giving them a clock, while in the background all the former colleagues are waving goodbye. :-) |

I've always wanted to check out what exactly is Northern Soul ??
I've a vague idea it's sorta Mod/Ska/Soul, the look is probably just as important a the music, all Original Fred Perry, Harrington an Ben Sherman's. Obviously before it became re-fashionable with the current crew (babyshambolics or Shambollix if you prefer). There was a KFC ad used a northern soul track a while back but I can't remember the name of the tune.

Oh I'm not too entirely sure what exactly Northern Soul is either, it's one of them things that I need to do some proper reading etc about. But as far as I am aware you've got it right so far, esp with the ska/mod/soul thingy. You always hear like Northern Soul being played before Weller gigs and stuff. I don't understand Babyshambles and all this new lot tbh.
There's a great night at Camden Barfly twice a month, Casino Royale. A Dj called Andy Lewis he plays loads of Northern Soul and stuff, it's a real good night, feels like being back in time... But yeah I dunno what the diference between Northern Soul and the regular sorta soul etc is. And at the moment I'm too caught up in the 90s to find out lol. |

Being back home. This time last week I was in Manchester getting drunk, being chatted up by that Man City fan who sang me The Verve and declared his love for me... I just wanna live that life every day!!

Iceland Chocolate Cheesecake
Not the thing itself, more that I got one on the way home from work and virtually skipped home I was so looking forward to it.
Only to find when I read the back that you need to defrost it for four fucking hours.

REM playing Twickenham, and me know knowing whether or not there is a gold circle so I don't know if I have to pay £45 for General Admission or if there is a higher price for Gold Circle if there is in fact one, with fanclub presale being tomorrow and then me then not knowing if they are actually selling these could-be Gold Circle tickets. And also, my lack of fundage for this whole thing.
In my mind I know what I'm on about. |
