What a random conversation that took place!!! Hahaha. Brilliant.
And yes, I meant the production. Sounds fantastic. The songs on TBWNN are stronger and I really like the album but the songs sound a bit flat. |

I really like Paperclips . 12 Memories wouldn't be the same without it. Ok its not a song I want to hear all the time , but for the right time and in the right place its an exceptionally brave and well written piece of music.

Paperclips is great. !2 memories has become one of my favorite albums from the band. I always have to listen to it through because it seems like a journey to me. |

MoreThanMe wrote: Do you mean production quality? Yeah, I know what you mean, 12 mems has always really struck my as the most atmospheric of Travis albums. Probably bcause of the way the band recorded it on Mull. For me, The Boy is a fantastic album..More of an extension of Invisible Band era.
So, if u look at it this way, the albums kinda sit in pairs...... Good FeelingOde 12 MemsMan Who The BoyInv
Ok, not 100% but i think the similarities are there.
sorry to be pernickety (spell?) but this album was not recorded on Mull. It was recorded at a place called Crear near Kilberry in Agyll, on the West Coast of Scotland. One of the most beautiful parts of Scotland, I know it well :) No wonder it turned out so atmospheric as you say.
As to Paperclips, I love it! did so from the word go. |

Oh, Paperclips! It's so beautiful and unique...and if you listen to it at the right time, like driving home by yourself late at night after having a shitty day, it makes you want to cry! I love this song!
