I don't know what "cornballishness" means, but...
I love The Sound Of Music and I love Travis. XD
We're in the same boat, sister. XD

A "corny" person or a "cornball" is like a nerd.
It's hard to find people who admit they like that movie. I even went on the Sound of Music tour when I was in Austria. It was so much fun! |

Ooohhh I see.
Well, I was actually shocked when my girlfriend told me "oh, you like The Sound Of Music! You sappy sappy girl, it's so weird!" because I didn't understand HOW could she NOT love it! XD
So, it's not hard for me to admit I love it and I'm proud of loving it because it's a beautiful movie.
And when my "go to london for a week and see all the musical you can possibly see" project will kick-in... I'm going to see that musical too.
*_* Oh yes.

Are musicals as big in london as they are in broadway ny?

I ve never made it to the end of the sound of music.
I think, when you get to the point where you are rooting for the nazis , then the film is lost on you. |

You're a man. You're not supposed to like it. |

I think Gladly will take it as a compliment.
I'm not saying men can't appreciate musicals in general, it's just that The Sound of Music is much too sweet for most guys. |

I'd never saw The Sound Of Music until 2005 I think, because I became friends with someone who's a huuuuuge fan and she forced me to see it haha. She's also a Travis fan, so I really want her to see this xD.
I love the soundtrack. My Favourite Things is my favourite (haha). I once heard a jazzy instrumental version of it and it was great! |

Well, I don't know if they're as much as big, but... I know that there are a lot of musicals in London, and I want to see the most of them.
Wicked, the sound of music, the lion king, mamma mia, the lord of the ring yadda yadda yadda...
XD
