Uuuuuhhh... I'm a bit black & white on this cover. I can't say it's love at first sight, but I love the thought of doing a graphic cover - and it's beautiful and mysterious at the same time. Very harmonic... very much saying: something has happened since last time. Interesting! Think it'll grow in time.
But... I'm so sorry, that they've change the TRAVIS-spelling... that font with the A-V is so, so, so beautiful. I miss that on the front cover.
I think we must face, that Travis have dropped that design of the name for good... sadly... but still I deeply respect and understand the need for a band to push on, move forward for changes...
Luv,
G!
I agree :) |

Do not play in a room on your own haha
Actually , thats the thrill of it, it is curious.I remember my old LP's and every cover that ran a shiver down my spine had a record inside that blew my mind! |

Think it's great. Very different, very strange. I really like it! Thought it was obvious since February it wouldn't have the band on the cover. So far, I think I agree with everything they've done this time. They're really on a roll. Love the new font. I think it was time to lose the AV thing like I said last night. New Travis. I think the band wanted TBWNN to be new Travis and even though it was a very good album, that was the end of an era. This is the start of a new one. Very exciting. :)

Hmmmmm...I don't know what I think of it to be honest! lol. I've been sitting here starring at it for 5 minutes. It's....different. It is actually quite cool but more as a single cover, perhaps. I would have loved to see the band on the cover and I miss the Travis font. However, it's a new direction and the music is totally rocking so I'm cool with it. :)

I like it because it's not "comfortable." It's not how we would have predicted, and it's quite different from what we've seen. |

I really like the colors, it certainly stands out. But not so sure about the design, I fail to see a connection but I guess I have to wait until I hear the album properly. |

I'm unsure about it, but I think that's the point. I do find it very much a departure from Travis' other album covers because there is no sign of the band members on there, which has been on every album since Good Feeling.
Still, I love the direction the guys have been going in and the songs really speak for themselves. In this day of digital downloads and the actual product design meaning less and less for marketing, the music really does stand alone and the guys can stretch their own boundaries with the artwork without much reprecussion.

I reckon it's J. Smith's eye.
And his heart is on Something Anything's cover.
Next single will have his leg on or something, haha |
