Well, the only time I saw them live was in a festival, and they were incredibly friendly with the audience. It was a huge connection! So huge that they stole the festival (The Killers were the main band, but people left the gig more impressed by Travis!). They played an hour and a half.
Anyway, I don't think it has to do with that. Maybe your expectations were too high? Or maybe they were having a bad day? Who knows...
Of course it's not "wrong", it's how you felt, so it's very real. But I'm quite intrigued, because it's actually the first time I hear someone feel that way about Travis live.
