Well, you know Boudreaux's Butt Paste gets a lot of attention because of the name, but the zinc oxide content is much higher in Desitin (16% vs 40%). The choice is clear!

As for public breadfeeding--I'm just not comfortable with it. I think it is due to my staunch puritanical upbringing.

I was always a Desitin fan too. Actually just found a tube in the kid's bathroom and wondered what on earth that was still doing there.

About breastfeeding, due to my hippie upbringing I couldn't care less. However as a nod to the pilgrims, I always covered myself.

I just Laura the recipe for Buttermilk Pie. Shall I post it here???

Can we talk about boys some more??

By the way, Dee, my bedspread and curtains don't match. Could you give me some decorating tips, please?

i have the must darling pattern for crocheting a bedspread and you could just match the yarns to your carpet exactly.

as long as the curtains match the carpet you should be okay honey:p

I go with a postmodern style in my bedroom. Which is a mix of styles. Very very eclectic...
There's a fancy way of saying messy.

Btw, I'm loving these threads, Dee. What a great idea! We needed more girly conversation on the board :oP

I didn't know you had a hippie upbringing. Did your parents have a VW microbus and all?

Sadly no. Lots of groovy hippie music though. And suggestions that I get a fake ID so I could go to more shows that are at bars.

Ahhhh, so that explains the flooding problems you experienced. It always rains on you because you lied when you were 17.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why does it always rain on me?
Is it because I had a fake ID?

I am sure I did lie when I was 17 but sadly (?) I never had a fake ID. Good Trevis lyrics though.

It's Treivis. Trevis is a boardie, I think.

I have no place to post this picture, so I'll just stick it here. It have always wanted a pool and we got a small one recently. I LOVE IT! Sure it's shallow, but enough to get in and chill. I am especially proud of Max. He has been afraid to swim his entire life, to the point where he'd run and hide if I took his swim trunks out of the closet. This year he just got right in! Even put his face in the water and did motorboat.

This afternoon we went swimming and after I soaked up the cancerous rays (wearing SPF 50 with UVA/UVB protection of course!) and it was just like being a kid again. Ahhhhh, summer!

so jealous of that pool! i used to have the tiniest paddling pool in the world that would take hours to inflate and last about 20 minutes before it managed to puncture somehow.

I needed a privacy fence because my almost-deaf neighbor has THREE dogs that NEVER STOPPED BARKING if we were in the yard. We couldn't even use the backyard before we got the fence up. The dogs don't bother barking at a wooden fence. It's only on two sides. You want to talk intimidating fences, a few of the neighbors have those huge vinyl jobs. Those are like having a fortress.

I'm with you on the apartment thing Edel, I get very jealous when people talk about sitting in their gardens and even more when they talk about hanging their washing out!! Grrr.

And I don't don't think Kayte's fencing looks
intimidating. Everyone has fences like that in England. Maybe we're just miserable gits who don't like anything to do with our neighbours. Hmm.

Ric's hippie commune doesn't allow fences, so he's just not used to it.
I thought he was going to tell me that my tree is too close to the house.
