Vivaldi was a bit of a 'one hit wonder' really. Much like Scooch.

No he wasn't...he had lots of hits - and at the time I believe his Four Seasons weren't even that revered...and besides theres like 3 songs per season and nowadays most people will recognise Spring the easiest (probably the first or second movement) but I think that a lot of people aren't too aware of his peices - they crop up EVERYWHERE - lovely stuff!

Bah, all that Baroque stuff is shit anyway. Give me Chopin, Debussy, Strauss, Rossini anyday. Romantic Classical all the way.

I like classical, and I certainly love chopin out of the romantics, and baroque I think can be VERY good indeed.
Theres something very powerful aboout most (not all) of the summer movements - the poor man's fingers!! And then Winter is alright - one great movement, but not so keen on spring or autumn actually.
Bach is good though - bit of Tocatta and Fugue in D minor!!! - come on thats a classic (pardon the pun) especially the fugue part.
Also Pachelbel's Canon is usually a popular baroque peice - its little known the Bach was inspired by him...

I think I would have to say Vivaldi in answer to this question - even his name is cool :D

Romantic composers are pretty cool...though in my opinion, the early impressionist movement remains unrivalled! Debussy's 1st and 2nd Arabesques are soooo beautiful and incidently amongst my favourite pieces of all time! Bach's Tocatta and Fugue in D minor is pretty awesome, though it brings back bad memories...shudders...personally, I prefer his prelude and fugue in C minor. Heheheh...his fugues are really something else aren't they. Hell to play if you are not all that technical...though AWESOME!

hmmm...as for Travis or Vivaldi...well, I opt for Travis, anyday!
