I'd have to say that that's the best solution I've heard!
Those TSA people are douche's already, now they wanna give me more reason to hate them! Last year we got stuck in Cleveland due to weather and therefor had a flight change. Because of the flight change, which obviously wasn't our fault, we all had to be searched and patted down, even my 2 year old. Boo to them! |

heheheh. That's true, really.
I think that's a complete invation of privacy and someone made a point earlier about the fact that how serious this could get for people with certain believes. And let's not forget that these pictures aren't being scanned by machines, there are people looking at them. And for some reason the whole blurred face thing doesn't seem to be comforting to me at all!
Let's just say that the market for carwashing just dropped by a notch:/ |

I flew to NYC 4 month after 9/11 - on the way back home, the security did its job so well that my "plane neighbour" went through the customs and everything carrying a big pair of scissors.
I litterally jumped outta my seat when he opened his bag to take the scissors. He explained he had a dress to make and i'm not kidding the bloke spent the next 6 hours cutting fabric and sewing.
I managed to change seat as i totally freaked out and refused to be seated next to him.

It's such an invation of privacy and violates so many rights!
Plus they obviously won't select "random people": prejudice and discrimination are at the order of the day when it comes to airports. If it ever happens to me, I'll fly back home. There's no way I'm going to let some creeps make me go through that. Besides, I don't see how it's going to be useful for anything.
It should be illegal. Actually, I'm not sure if it's not illegal already. |

How are you going to fly back home if they won't let you on the plane without being screened? That's the kicker.
The American Civil Liberties Union is fighting against it, but it looks like it'll be too late. I want to find out more about this, really. Detroit is one of the airports getting a scanner. This totally freaks me out. |

I was thinking about the hypothetical situation of me going to the US and having to do that in order to get in the country. I doubt they'll put one of those in the airport of Buenos Aires. |

They do it when you are getting onto the airplane, not getting off. So you'd have already had your vacation in the US and would be screened to board the airplane to leave. :o(
I'm surprised there's not more of a cry of outrage here. I haven't heard anything about this except on the internet. Some people are going to be in for a big and unpleasant surprise. |

to hell with peoples beliefs, nobody should be exempt based on some pie in the sky religious nonsense. people have the right to believe in Allah, Jesus, the Easter Bunny whatever they choose but when religion offers a group of people a get out clause, a moral high ground, call it what you will, that's when theres a problem. 1 rule has to apply to all, no exceptions. |
