Tommy Elphick and Adam El Abd are ex students of mine. Bizarre seeing them now playing for Brighton and Hove Albion.

Ahhh, I know about Partick Thistle, just didn't know that a.k.a. lol

Thanks for clearing that up.

I remember that along London Road, there was this very odd place called Mr Barton' Mini Barras. Dunno if it's still there, but he had all sorts of signs with various statements hanging on his building. A lot of them just said Partick Thistle. Some also said things like 'Rubbish bought, antiques sold'. I kid you not.

A shop advertising "suits from the midden" is one of my favourites in the Barras.

She wrote a song regarding WAGS
i.e wife or girlfriends of footballers.
Her current boyfriend is a footballer :)

The point of that song was that they were celebrities for no reason though. Maybe she thinks that cos she's a "celebrity" (is she? i don't even know) or recognised at least for her own talent she's an exception to the rule. Which i know is debatable for some, but still..

Anyway, she's not your typical "WAG" anyway is she? First one i've heard of who is actually not famous for being one!

Cheryl Cole? Victoria Beckham? not talented in my opinion , but still famous before becoming a wag.

But would they be as famous if they weren't? That's my point

Yes because they were, and in one case still is in a very successful band(s) selling millions of records worldwide before they were married.

Yeah, but if you asked people to name a member of Spice Girls and Girls Aloud, I reckon those two would come out on top, because their partners give them more tabloid inches.

It is pretty ironic about the Amy MacD thing, but at least he's not famous (or good at football according to the first page :))
