so that is the whole thrill of it? getting drunk illegally? geesh that is weird. i've always thought alcohol as an unusual choice of drink because it burns going down and is just a weird taste. i would only be able to drink if it were a girly drink or something.

I agree with you. I've done my illegal drinking (the legal age here is 18) but I really don't find it that great. I enjoy girly drinks from time to time though :o)
Oh, and I never got drunk enough to throw up or have a hangover. The few times I drink, I stop if I feel I'm getting very slightly drunk. |

why thank you! someone who is rational! i understand that people have a choice to drink or not, but what i don't understand is why they do it. alcohol is a poison, just like any material that is placed in the body without being naturally made by the body to begin with. plus, i'm a chem student, so i know a lot about alcohol and that crap. when you know the details, it just makes things weird. like sex; when you know the details it gets a little gross instead of kinky. scientists don't see sex as a hobby, they see it as a way of life. germs are yucky lol. time to call in the human sanitized bubble!!! |

I enjoy alcohol but I don't get drunk anymore. Just did too many stupid things while intoxicated. I've been drunk one time since I was 19. Thankfully I didn't do anything totally stupid, just silly.
But aren't there some benefits to drinking wine? I'll give you that liquor doesn't really have any redeeming qualities for your body but they have found benefits for moderate wine drinking and even beer, right?

it surprised me there when i read it. Any reason why not?
to be fair, drinking isn't big or clever, and it's a monumental waste of time and money. And stories that begin with "This one time, when i was wasted" are neither big nor funny.
