I made them with chocolate chips. I just chopped dark chocolate and added it to the dough after mixing all the ingredients. And then when the cookies came out of the oven, I placed a bigger piece of chocolate in the center of each cookie.
Wise words. |

I have a question. In Argentina, do you use the same measurements that we do in the US, or do you use metric measurements? I know that a British tablespoon is not the same measurement as the American tablespoon. Just curious.

I'm not sure if when it comes to spoons and cups the measures are the same... I guess they are, because the cookies turned out alright, hehe!
But we use kilos and grams instead of pounds, and we use meters instead of feet and inches... |

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until well blended. Beat in the egg, milk, and vanilla one at a time. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Roll tablespoonfuls of dough into balls. Place cookies 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Press each ball once with fork tines.
3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are lightly browned.

Maybe cups and tablespoons are different, but I don't know. I mean, they can be different, but since I used "proportional" instruments, then it doesn't show. I don't know if you know what I mean, I don't know how to explain it.
But I think they must be the same, because it yielded 37 cookies, which is only one more than what the recipe says.
But in general we use grams for recipes in Argentina. |
