I believe the studio monster is...
... their producer, Emery Dobyns (Pic from Dougie's Diaries)
He's got the same fuzzy hair, beard and black glasses.
Cover up the right hand side, and you will see that it is him leaning on a desk.
I hope he doesn't mind being known as the Studio Monster from now on Fran...
ps - he looks nothing like Art Garfunkel..
