I don't agree that showing an appreciation of someone's work should automatically put you below them.

me too! But just because I never put "stars" and "real life" together ;)
For me, they belong on stage or on CDs, and when a famous person crosses my way I stare out of purest surprise ;) ... |

(wearing his pink shoes) and I didn't take the opportunity to go say hello. How am i going to live with myself now? lol.
I didn't really know what I would have said and I didn't want to piss him off if he was trying to shop, but I do wish now that I had taken my chances and plucked up the courage.
I even had to physically stop my mother from going over to him, but that's mainly because she would have called him Fran.
In fact ( Im gonna make you feel worse now lol ) Dougie was probably feelin on top of the world with the album doing so well and thought he'd go for a wander , put his pink shoes on to attract some fans and a chat and do some signing :-) heehee and no bugga had the guts to stop!!

He was alone, he was laughing at something in his hand, i don't think it was his phone but I didn't get a good look.
I must have gone into a complete daze, as I almost always do if I see someone famous, because I was holding an ice-cream at the time and it dripped down my arm. Lol.
Yes, that would have looked very cool if I had bounded up to him. I also had to steady myself on a bench, and apparently had the biggest grin on my face. I have no finesse! |

I was also wearing a rather nice dress and having a good hair day so if I had the courage it couldn't have been a better time! haha
Ok, i'm gonna stop now, making myself feel really awful. Bugger, bugger, bugger!!! |

Lol. You poor thing! I'd always go over and say hi to someone. Wouldn't be all "fan" about it. Just go over and say "hey, good to see you" sorta thing.
But that's just me! :) |
