In the US health experts are always saying not to eat late at night, because you are going right to bed and not burning those calories and it will make you fat. It seems that people all over the world eat quite late at night and it's the US that are the fat ones. I have to think it's WHAT we eat, as much as when we eat.
I'm a terrible eater. I have the palate of a pre-schooler.
EDIT: You've just proved my point, Moz.
You are correct...it is not when...it is what and how much that gets us in trouble...and Taco Bell trying to convince us that we need another meal at midnight...I lay in bed getting hungry just watching those stupid commercials. |

It is also linked to genetics, family eating habits, food variety at home, eating fresh greens from the garden or the market food, not eating frozen food...etc...exercizing
What amaze me when i read mags like "Shape" is that all commercials are about food with lots of salt...etc...you never see ads featuring apples or cheeses but i assume big food corps have much more power and money to advertise than lobbies representing local producers or fresh vegs/fruits. |

I don't like many vegetables. I've tried and tried, but I just don't. I'm finally to the point where I can choke down a few peas, but as far as salad-y stuff, I just don't like it. I know it's terrible. I wish I liked more healthy things. |

To feed me things I don't like?
Maybe I need that Mrs. Seinfeld cookbook where she puts pureed veggies into yummier things. |

Haha, I haven't contemplated it yet, it's still breakfast time. I did make awesome crispy potato wedges last night though. I think I'll have to mention that in as many threads as possible.
oooh, how did you make them? they sound yummy! |

I'll have to get the recipe from home, but basically they've got the buttermilk/flour batter that goes on fried chicken. We deep fried them, but the key is microwaving them first with oil and seasonings. |
