I dont think waiting so long to follw it up either was a great idea for commercial reasons either.
BUT maybe thats not of great concern to them.
That's what i think. Rather than making music for commercial reasons, they're making music for personal reasons. Whereas the earlier albums had songs which you could look at and say they're about everyone or everyone can relate to them, i think with the last 2 albums (Singles excluded) the songs are a lot more personal.
Anyone who says what you said they say about 12 Memories isn't wise! How Many Hearts is one of my favourites, and i think in all honesty 12 Memories is the Travis album i listen to most- which has to count for something..
Agree

12 memories is an amazing album which shows the musical talent of travis. it also shows that travis can adapt to playing different styles of music.
the worst thing about 12 memories is probably fran's long hair when it was released! |

I love 12 Memories. I liked that it was slightly different but still Travis. I didn't get why it got slammed but I don't really listen to critics anyway. |

I don't think so, i think if travis (the guys) are happy about their work on 12 memories, that's enough, 'cause i've been heearing things like "12 memories..i don't like it, it's not a travis sound" and with the boy with no name "it's tjhe same travis sound" so, people don't like to change, and where they're doing the same, they want to change their sound, ironic....
However with my own opinion, i love 12 memories, i never felt it like the worst, 'cause io don't have a travis album on a "worst" list, and i hope none of the nbext albums will be on there, and i don't think so. 12 memories it's different, yes, and that's what i love, different topics, different style, but very true, i love it. and the boy with no name, it's very travis, but it have another way of style, at least for me. |

12 Memories may have been a commercial failure, but it is one of the strongest albums Travis has ever made. It is a creative growth that has not been matched, no matter how much I love TBWNN. That being said, it is the album I listen to the least because there are a handful I skip more frequently than on any other album - but that doesn't make it less of a Travis album. It's beautiful, personal and the sign of a band that isn't afraid of change.

I've only watched their little movie once but I'm still recovering from the sight of Neil and Andy in bed together. |
