Also, is it sad that i can look at my gig pictures in order and work out the order of the setlist from looking at the guitars and position of capos? :oS
Nah, I could do that in 2002, but then the obsession faded and I became normal =P |

really, i am impressed, how have you learnt that,
Well i'm a wee bit of a guitar man (yes that was a blatant plug!) and from learning the songs and knowing the position of the capos. Then the guitars, well they usually use the same instruments for different songs (although from Dougie's bass and Neil's drums it's often harder to work out what song's being played!) so i've just learned from watching too many dvds, live clips and being at too many gigs. And it's usually in combinations. Like for Love Will Come Through on this tour, Fran uses a sunburst Taylor acoustic with no capo and Andy uses a red Gibson SG- which i'd never seen him use before, so that's one of the easier ones to remember.
There's others like when Andy's playing the Stanjo, you know it's either Sing or Flowers. And when Fran plays a Gretsch 12-string, it's either My Eyes or Sing, depending on the capo position. Some are harder to work out than others, but i can ususally do it.
Someone test me on this. Post a picture and i'll try and guess the song (but it'll only work if you remember what song it actually was!) |

It wasn't a first. Selfish Jean was the opener in Paris, Amsterdam. They might have done it on other occasions that I don't know of.
Yes, they started with Selfish Jean at the Hammersmith Apollo too. |

Yeah. See if you can guess what song is next when they get the guitars. I love it when i'm wrong, cos it's such a surprise to hear a song i'm not expecting to be where it is |
