Personally my favorite was The Boy With No Name, even though they don't like it as much...
It's my favourite,too!Well,Fran once said it was the most expensive album they've ever made,maybe that's the reason they don't like it,haha :) Anyway,for me,any kind of album they'll make will do.
They said that they felt it was overproduced and wasn't their real sound. I love it all the same. |

I think it's not important that new album will be diffrent or not...or Travis must do a new job or not...
For example,last year Linkin Park tried to be diffrent from their past albums and...well,their album was't good...
But a band like Radiohead,they always surprise fans...!with everything...and it's always succesfull,Although some people like me miss songs like Creep...!
Diffrence is not important that much...I want a new Travis album that it's great in music and lyrics and makes Travis what The Man Who made Travis...! |

Travis/Fran could come out with a record singing the alphabet, and I'd still love it! |

Still no new updates from Mr.Fran Healy..
I just want to say my fanboy opinion.
How long will we wait? I hope Travis will once again craft songs that will be anthems maybe it's time to be grander again in terms of creating songs even if I know that on the past years they focused on experimenting and tried to write small songs.
I hope Travis will really make a new album with great songs and great reviews.That's just my wish that I hope will come true.
Maybe they'll play a new song on Belladrum Festival? Too bad I'm from the Philippines and I CAN'T GO THERE.

Fran once twitted that they are planning to start actual recording of the album this October!
I've noticed one interesting thing: thir albums have some hints on next records' atmosphere or sound, songs that somehow stand out. Of course, it's arguable, but here are some my ideas:
More Than Us -> The Man Who
WDIAROM -> The Invisible Band
Last Train -> 12 Memories
Love Will Come Through -> The Boy With No Name
This love (though it's a b-side) -> Ode To J. Smith
How do you think which song from OTJS era can say about what the next album will be like?

Eyes wide open-> OTJS
Before you were young?-Wreckorder? although it's a solo effort
ROBOT?-> New Travis record..that might be interesting hahahaha! New wave?

I think too long has passed since OTJS for any of the songs from it to function as markers for the sound of the next album. The next album will just sound like Travis. |
