A company down here tried home delivery for awhile but it failed. I tried it once and the choices just weren't very good. And odd sizes. For example you could get a teeny can of tomato sauce (like a dollhouse prop) or a huge can of tomato sauce (like for a giant).

When the guy showed up to deliver the groceries he put little disposable footies over his shoes. I swear the process took him 5 minutes. I almost offered to help him.
