I just realised that White Ladder by David Gray (from 1998) is number 5! How cool is that! |

There are some terrible things in there, but it isn't that bad at all. I own 29 of them.

I agree! I think I've got less than 10 albums off that list.
I can't believe Henry Churches is there either, Bodi. Lol.

Rammsfer wrote: I think Travis could have been as great as other UK bands such as Kasabian, Oasis, Muse...I mean, filling stadiums and selling lots of records, because musically they're as great as them.
Maybe they just didn't want to be that famous or that great. I mean, maybe they don't want to fill stadiums, they just want the world and specially the fans to listen to their music. I read a while ago that Travis could have been the kings of UK, but they didn't want to.
Because they have the potential to do it, and they still could do it!
I don't know if you guys get what I'm saying. Don't misunderstand me.
I really think so too. Around The Invisible Band, they were pretty much the biggest band in the UK and from that they could have gone on to be where Coldplay are now. Whether consciously or unconsciously, I think !2 Memories was a step away from that, and a sign that maybe they don't feel like they need to fill stadiums.
I like them the way are now, though, as a smaller kind of indie band. But it would be cool to see them make the effort to become really big once again, maybe once their kids have grown up a bit and they can focus more on the band. (Or when they need the money...) |
