The French health service is possibly the best in Europe, except for two things:
> the dentists in Loire-Atlantique all think that removing wisdom teeth is necessary for everyone at some stage
> the doctors all prescribe 4-5 medecines, no matter what the illness.
i think the best health services are found in Scandinavia but ppl pay a lot of income tax for it...
(the ideal is to be treated in an EEC Scandinavian country !).
it is also true french ppl are used to taking loads of medication |

It's true that we don't pay for treatment, but we do pay for medication. And then of course, there's the taxes as you say. I pay 40-something percent, and some people pay more than half :oS |

I don't like going to the doctor's, because it's a real hassle to phone for the appointment. Plus, the appointment is always bang in the middle of the afternoon, which stops you being able to make other plans.
My medecine is called Soberano:

Bad drivers. Hello! your indicators are there for a reason.
Booking & Transaction fee's at concerts. Why??? I've bought a ticket and now I have to pay for what?? A transaction Fee??? and a booking fee??? What??????
Ok now i'm on a run, bank charges, i got charged £39 the other week by my bank just to send me a letter telling me that there wasnt enough money in my account to pay a direct debit and that they hadnt bothered to pay it for me either. So for that privellege they charge me £39 for a letter to tell me that a bill hadnt been paid. Thanks alot!!!

I remember one of my first Financial Maths lessons.
The teacher tells us the Building Societies' rates, sees our hoorifie looks and adds: "Oh, don't worry; all bankers are crooks". |
