In my quincho there's a small hole at the top of a column where birds often make their nests.

Once a baby chilean pigeon was learning to fly and fell off the nest. We didn't know what to do, because once you touch the baby, the mother doesn't recognize it anymore, but we had to rescue it, or my dog (a Weimaraner) would have killed it otherwise. So we gave the baby bird to a friend of my sister's, who's studying to become a vet. She raised it and released it in a park when it was ready to fly :o).

I looked in today and...empty nest! I hope they're taking flying lessons and not eaten up by a cat!
