Well, for me it would be:
Life and Soul of the Party,
My last chance,
Ring out the bell,
Some Sad Song (Does this one count as b-side?)
Reason
20
Say Hello
and many more...LOL! |

A few of mine are: Sarah, 1922, Just the Faces Change, City in the Rain, This Love, and Ring out the Bell.
Ahhh, we have similar taste:)
Welcome to the board!
Haha ok righ Sarah I totally forgot about! It's brilliant!
@Ben: :) know we discussed it before, but I still disagree! I'd loved to have Distance and Enemy - as it is - on a (real) record. :) But as it is - Fran and the band seem to agree with you so :) - well at least we have them :D
about City in the rain : I used to listen to this song whenever I'm pissed at someone...hehe been listeing to it all day yesterday!
bye bye |

You're right, at least we get to hear them. :) Though I don't think Dougie wants to sing any more. He didn't have any on TBWNN singles and on Ode he had Tail Of The Tiger which Fran sings. I hope he sings the next b-sides. :)
Yes, Some Sad Song is VERY under rated and if it was a b-side I would have mentioned it, but it isn't. :) |

THanks for clarifying Alex! I was not sure that's why I asked.
In that case, Ring out the Bell is not a B-side neither... isn't it? It's a hidden track of The Invisible Band... |

Not on the UK version it isn't. ;) Plus, it is a b-side to "Sing". Some Sad Song isn't a b-side to anything, just a hidden track. :) |

Aye, hidden tracks are just as much 'a-sides' as any other album track. They just happen to follow a bit of a silence that's all. :P
I remember going on about whether Sarah is a b-side before. I still think it isn't. J. Smith was never a single. It was an EP, and EPs are like mini albums. The J. Smith one is kinda a bad example of an EP because it only has 3 tracks like most of their singles, but it is an EP nonetheless. You can often get EPs with 5, 6 or more songs on. After all, it would seem odd to classify the Glass Onion songs as b-sides, no? |

Dougie (and at times Andy) singing is the best of the b-sides, I agree Fran is the voice of Travis but some of these tracks are "refreshing" :D
At the moment (don't know if they all qualify as b-sides):
Just the faces change
A little bit of soul
Good for nothing
You don't know what I'm like
Standing on my own (Bob is in the air)
Say hello
Life and soul of the party
Tail of the tiger
And my all time favourite: Twenty :)

I would say Sarah IS a b-side. Maybe technically it isn't, but it's not on any album. J Smith reached number 1 on the Indie Singles Chart didn't it? Glass Onion wasn't released by Travis though was it? Wasn't it released when they were called Glass Onion? In that case no, they're not Travis b-sides. ;) |

Good song! :)
In my opinion: "Non Album Travis song" = b-side. :)
