Oh, they were standing in front of us in line! They have more soundcheck videos on Flickr, but unfortunatley, they are private. Really good videos though, hopefully they will post more on youtube. the More than Us one was brilliant! oh, there's also a video, where we can see fran getting shocked by the mic. Looked incredibly painful--I don't know how he went through the whole show getting shocked like that--AND, put on an amazing show too. |

Where did u find those vids which are hidden in flickr? can you post the link anyway, plz?
Found this:
Soundcheck Chicago sing
pictures of it
I don't really get "flickr" I tried to look again - just for the vids - instead I got this second page (you see) but without the video. ....strange system, this flickr - site.
But if you do have vids or know where to find'em : plz plz post them¨!è
And thx to whoever made these vids! |

On Flickr, the poster has to add you as a contact in order for you to view their private or non-public pictures or videos.
So, I figure if they set them to private in the first place, they don't want them to be public. I wouldn't feel comfortable posting them here myself--but on the other hand, I don't think it would let me anyway. I was just hoping they would read this thread and maybe post some more on youtube. I can always ask her if she would mind uploading them to youtube :) |

I'd love to see the other videos too. It'll be a shame if we're not able to see them. |

Haha!
That's be great!
But I actually meant iprovising...
but u made me wonder where that word comes from...
wiki says (thank God that site exists!) :D
Etymology 1 VAMP
c.1225, “top part of a shoe or stocking”; from Anglo-Norman *vaumpé; from Old French avantpié, from avant (“‘in front’”) + pié (“‘foot’”). See pied (“‘foot’”).
* The meaning, “repeated, improvised musical figure” is c.1789, from a further extension of the shoemaker sense meaning “something cobbled together, improvised”.

Oooh, very interesting, thanks. Wiki is genius! Haha.
And maybe you're right, it could be an improvised thing. Sound checking would be a great place to improvise and practise. :) |
