Good for Germany and Canada! beatiful countries both! someday (and somehow) I'll have to be there...
I'm suprise, Argentina aren't include in this poll, Brazil neither. About Chile doesn't surprised me, has had an important growth in recent times. |

Lmao, I'd better not let my Canadian statistics lecturer see this.. he's always telling us to ask for evidence of the statistics... but I'd say he'd ignore it for this. [Though he's actually a pillock and not a very good ambassador for Canada.. everyone HATES him haha].
Who's at the bottom? That I'd like to know! |

NZ flag is way prettier than the Australian one... though something like 70% of Australians polled once couldn't tell the difference between our flags... hahaha... those crazy ockers.
Yeah... if only the German flag had more happy colours or something... |

yes, NZ's flag is pretty, it's got more "style" than the Australian one ;) ... although when I think about it... both seem a liiiiittle over the top, there's almost too much going on on the flags ;)
Yes, exactly, happy colours! I'd like light-blue, grass-green and gold or someting like that. with a nice drawing *lol*
unfortunately, the somber colours go back to the 19th century - the war against Napoleon and the "birth" of a united Germany ("from the black darkness of servitude through the red blood of the war to the golden light of liberty --> black, red, gold)... |

I like the Argentinian flag, it's simple but pretty :o)
I like Spain's flag too. And of course, Sweden's flag is great, because the team colours of Boca Juniors (the best football team in the world) are based on it: blue and gold, beautiful! :o) |

Haha.
Germany is the best loved country AND the BBC did the survey. Amazing. I read that in none of the countries did a majority of people have a negative view of Germany.
...
But there's a discussion going on over here about the fact that the people that see Germany most critically are the Germans themselves *lol*. We are obsessed with finding bad things about ourselves (yet we don't like it when other people do "our job" *lol*)
...
On the OTHER hand, this outcome also means that the conservatives are SOOOO going to win general elections in 2009 *AAAARGH*... no matter that our foreign minister is a Social Democrat. Our Chancellor is a conservative, she's going to be the heroine, as always *argh* (she's so clever, really. it's a shame she isn't a Social Democrat ;D)
Why couldn't we be, like, second ;) in the world?
Canada can be first! (Kristy, why did you have to upset Turkey and Russia...)
Why do we have to be first NOW, in election-year?!?!
.
Anyway... Kristy, our spinster club will be SOOOO popular if this trend goes on :D
(and Fred, be nice, please. or come to Germany now, see for yourself if your strange prejudices are true, and make judgments afterwards :) France is 6th, that isn't too bad - considering "all of you eat living frogs and snails all the time" ;P...)
You forgot to add frenchies stink and don't bath/take showers thus the BO.
I guess you're right and I'll have to see it by myself ; to quote Leonard Cohen "First we take Manhattan then we take Berlin". |

Hey, I don't want to turn this into a Canuck - Turk piss race. But I wouldn't believe everything I read on web. Trust me Turks know more than Celine Dion about Canada. Errr... Leonard Cohen for instance. Ha!
I know nobody having grudge against Canada really. Canada has this peacful country -up-north image for most of us. My brother lives in Vancouver and he gave me this super hat with maple leaf on it. Most of my mates gave me a thumb up telling how cool it looks on me. See? I told you.

a-the Celine Dion thing was a joke
b-I wasnt "believing everything I read on the web." I was posting a poll as conducted by the BBC. I never said it was 100% accurate or the absolute truth. It was an article that I thought was interesting. |

Really? Interesting. Similarly Cohen thing was too. Hence the laughter I added afterwards. Sarcasm? Does that sound familiar?
No need to get that tense. I was not declaring a war or something. Just tried to tell you that we don't hate you by softening the subject. Whatever. |
