Oh, I love Dear Diary as well. I agree with Bellringer, Dear Diary's this lovely little filling between Sing and Side. And it's sort of the odd one out in the (mostly) bright, sprightly album. I particularly love the line "as nightshade descends like a veil/under the sail of my heart..."
The vocals at that point are just beautiful.
In order of release:
The Line is Fine (one of my favourite songs ever actually)
Good Day To Die
I Love You Anyways
The Fear(not sure if this is considered popular or not)
The Last Laugh of the Laughter
She's So Strange
The Cage
The Humpty Dumpty Love Song
How Many Hearts
Somewhere Else
Some Sad Song
WALKING IN THE SUN! I think it doesn't receive as much attention as it should! It's a great song.
Big Chair
Colder
Out in Space
New Amsterdam
Sailing Away
Perfect Heaven Space

Sailing Away is not unpopular though, I'd say almost everyone on here likes it. |

Indefinitely
Walking Down the Hill
Love "Indefinitely"...
I can say that I love each and every single song in "The Invisible Band", except "Walking Down the Hill". I don't get it : (
And I certainly like VILLAGE MAN!! I thought I was crazy ahahaha. What about these ones:
Me Beside You
I Forget My Name
Reason (one of my favourites)
I always include them in my mp3 player : )

There aren’t many album tracks that I don’t love. I found it really difficult to find one for the “least favorite” thread and ended up going with “Mid-Summer Nights Dreamin” – even though I still think it’s a pretty cool song.
I adore a LOT of the songs that seem to get dogged around here:
Dear Diary
Peace The Fuck Out
Paperclips
Broken Mirror
Friends
Get Up
Are all songs I LOVE, especially Dear Diary….it’s SO beautiful.
I don’t know if it’s fair to put songs like The Fear, How Many Hearts, Somewhere Else and The Cage on a list like this because from what I’ve observed, these are pretty popular songs and the majority of boardies love them, including me.

I don't think it's that popular. I don't like it. Well, I do, it's ok but when I compare to other Travis songs...
But songs like The Cage and Somewhere Else are. And The Fear. I think people like these a lot. I do. :) |

Never expected to see The Cage in this thread, I always thought the consensus is that it's one of the best things on TIB. I definitely think it is. Think The Sea is a very popular b-side too.
Another for me is 'We Are Monkeys'
ok, it's not exactly an epic, lighters in the air anthem. It's about as close to that as the theme for Thomas The Tank Engine. But I find it quite funny, love the line
All the clever moneys telling us what to do
Telling us to stay in line and join the monkey queue
Thinking that they're clever 'cos they went to private zoo
Very soon they're gonna end up in a monkey stew
