Nonsence to campair two great bands.. in my point of view it´s al a matter of taste.
REM performed a gig in Copenhagen in september, but I went to Shrewsbury-UK same days to injoy Travis..... |

REM
MICHAEL
RAIN
in an interview on 2001 they asked Michael Stipe.
Coldplay or Travis?
his answer was TRAVIS.
Travis is a great band, buuut.. 6 great albums vs 14 great albums? ... guys there is still long way ahead .

Comparisons are odious but inevitable.
I love Travis so the answer is obvious, but Michael is A MASTER(especially with those movements hahaha) and a career of three decades have to be respected.
In the case of yesterday, at the Hot Festival in Lima, Travis surprised the whole world, people who went for REM don't expecting that amazing energy and were very satisfied despite the fact that REM was the main course of the night. |
