That is so great, Andrew!! I am so happy and proud for you!
I'm still sad I didn't get to hang out with you as much that weekend, but I'm happy we did meet for that one special day. |

now.
would you ask them for a REASON why they did it or just let it be? I'm tending towards the latter... man, I hate facebook sometimes - it's like highschool all over again!
I was thinking about this earlier. Did you end up saying anything?
I thought about it some more... then I realised that for the past 2 years or so, she never really tried to stay in contact with me. It was always me who wrote her first etc.
on the other hand, you were right: I don't really have anything to lose (except dignity). so I'm going to do it and ask her right now. I'm a bit scared, though.

I for once bring the people of TMB good news. I found out last week that i passed my exam in health and social care!. Not many people knew that i was studying because it wasn't something else i wanted to fail at and have to tell my parents.
wow, that's awesome!! Congratulations!!
I love it when boardies have good news (even though I don't know any of you, reading happy news on the board always cheers me up!)

btw, and I think I speak for everyone who couldn't be at the ABC: I'm still jealous of you guys! ;)

ok, feeling a bit stupid now: she (the friend who de-friended me on facebook) answered my email within 20 minutes and explained that she originally wanted to delete her account, but then decided to keep it to stay in contact with those who don't have her email address or something. so she basically defriended all her real life friends - and forgot to tell me, apparently. A bit weird, but I'll go with it...

Well Done Mate, that's brilliant news, chuffed for ye.
Don't know what's happening with work it's gone to the GM and a meeting with the financial controller on Friday to see if the budget is there to create a position for me. I'm working Xmas and Stephen's Day, I did hold out for money as I'm due to be off those days, but I'll get €250 for the two days, guess I'm getting myself a PS3 for Xmas.

eta: There's also a few folks oot there who figured I'd never stick it for the duration (9months), So I suppose there is a bit of "Get it Right Fuckin' Up Ye" in there too.

I was all prepared to carry someone's emotional baggage with my abundant joy--and they were all out of emotional baggage! I guess that's a good thing. |

I got that message too, then tried it again, then the baggage that came up was "graduate school". I really didn't know how to work with that, so I sent them "Everybody's Free (to Wear Sunscreen)" (Baz Luhrmann) ... |

So, Dubz, did they make any decision yet on budgeting a position for you? |

Not yet, but thanks for asking. I reckon I'm out the door as they have started two new guys on "free labour". Two off-cuff mentions of me leaving in January by my manager, I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt but I reckon he's already been told I'm gone but is refusing to tell me as he's afraid I'll tell him to stick it up his arse he can work his own fucking Christmas. There may be a shred of truth to that, which I wouldn't have a problem with if he wasn't always acting like my best mate.

People. As my fb status is saying right now, 2012 will be the year of 'ciocia Gosia' which means 'aunt Gosia'. Out of 3 of my best Poland-based friends, 3 are officially pregnant (fresh news!). This means this year (at least) 3 people will be born, all of them to the best parents I can possibly imagine. I simply can't wait to meet them, spoil them, love them and be called 'ciocia' by them. So much love I feel like squeeking! eeeeeekk |
