I'm looking forward to seeing the Netherlands win! Love their fan-invasion!
But the whole Euro is soooo boring! No emotions over here in Zurich, there are so less people that they even start to close some stands and they all look so bored.
To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed, I don't like football very much but I imagined more than that.

Where do you live then? I don't live near a host city but I'm working in Zurich and except for some singing fan-choirs I didn't feel anything in town. |

I mean the tournament itself isn't boring. I mean, Czech Republic vs Turkey last night- there's nothing that didn't happen in that match.
And in Group C- Netherlands vs Romania tomorrow... do Netherlands do France/Italy a favour and field a strong team. Then again, it'd be in their interests to knock France and Italy out because then they won't have to meet them in the later stages. And even then it's hard to believe that the two finalists of the World Cup just two years ago both face going out in the first round. It's been a great tournament!
In a way it's brilliant that there's no 'home' countries in it because there's no bias with the coverage. UK pundits are so terribly boring because all they ever talk about is 1966 *yawns*, and i don't think i've heard it once this tournament. It's great! |
