Like them both. Sean Penn is setting forth yet another incredible performance as harvey Milk. This is probably the most dramatic work Gus Van Sant ever made. Unlike the rest of his experimental filmography (except Good Will Hunting), you can say this one is a simple drama telling a real life story. Still good. Recommended!
And The Pope's Toilet is a little film from Uruguay. Nice and creative. Quite depressing but equally realistic. It is kinda way of telling how poor people tend to fill their lives with exagerated beleives.
Both are recommended.
I want to watch Milk as well.Now that u say it's recommended,I can't wait!
Oh and the other Uruguay film sounds good as well.Gonna try hunting it down=)
I just watched Dead Poet's Society and Trainspotting.
Both were awesome!Kelly Mac was so young in the latter.
Very humorous and brilliant!

I like Wimbledon, in a completely fluffy, cheesy kinda way. Mostly because I enjoy Paul Bettany. |

I really want to see "Defiance" - "Four Jewish brothers must escape Nazi-occupied Poland in this WWII drama directed by Edward Zwick, based on a true story. After fleeing to a remote forest, the brothers join the ranks of the Russian resistance fighters, who took up arms to help set other Jews free from the Nazi regime of imprisonment, torture, and murder. Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, and Jamie Bell headline the drama, with Alexa Davalos and Tomas Arana set to co-star."
I think it comes out Jan. 16. Looks really good. I love WWII movies. |
