Thanks! It's a beautiful song. I think it's my favorite U2 song because it has some significance for me. My boyfriend and I were driving up north for a weekend camping trip a few summers ago and got caught in this massive thunder storm. We had to stop the car on the side of the highway because the rain was beating down so hard we couldn't see anything. As the wind was rocking the car back and forth while we waited for it to pass, this song came on the radio! It was a pretty cool moment. |

Hmmm, this made me think...
Gangsters or Stupid Marriage are probably my favourite Specials songs, they also do a not bad version of Monkey Man(not the stones song unfortunately Ric).

Many Rivers to Cross - Jimmy Cliff
Listen to the power in this man's voice, it's pretty amazing even if you don't like the song you gotta admit that is an awesome voice.

Being greedy today.
I dug out an old tape from 96 yesterday that had a load of stuff from Mark Radcliffe and John Peel shows on (hey who didn't do it, I bought the one's I liked, honest) and there's some cracking stuff on it, like...
Emperor Julian - Ghost of Icons Love the bass in this.
and Secret Goldfish - Venus BondingHighly recommend the album this is from, but it's worth the version off my tape for the top quality Lard comedy at the beginning :-) |
