What up Dak Mer, the 3 musketeers we are!
Dak to answer your question from beyond the sarah palin sketch SNL was a sharp decline. Michael Phelps wasn't acting, he was just reading. What is it with them having athletes as hosts? Lance Armstrong anyone? If I remember correctly Peyton Manning was a pretty funny SNL host.
Dak? Did you catch last night's True Blood? I ran out today and bought the first book! I told myself I wouldn't get mixed up with this vampire nonsense thing in pop culture (Moonlight, Stephanie Meyer series, etc.) But I have fallen victim... |

Oh, nothing, I'm just being a major geek this week...I got the Fullmetal Alechemist movie yesterday! Special Edition! I'm not going to watch it right now though, because I'd rather watch it with subtitles and that requires me to read and pay attention. Also, I think I'd better watch the whole series again, because I'm not sure that I remember everything that was going on.
And Torchwood season 2 comes out tomorrow! yay! I'm ridiculously excited. (because I'm a geek)
In sadder news, I just got reminded of the Space Twins the other day, because all that talk about Weezer...(was that here?) re-ignited my torch for Brian Bell, and I wanted to hear some of the early Space Twins recordings that I used to have on my computer! But I don't anymore! (Been through two new computers since then.) And you can't find them ANYWHERE. (Not a torrent, not an errant .mp3 anywhere on the internet that I can find.) :(
I'm going to have to hit up e-bay every day to see if they ever go up for sale again. There was one the other night, but ti's gone now! I should have bid on it!
Haha, and that is my long winded story about what I've been up to for the past few days.

Yea! I heard that it was sucking from my friend, so I took a pass. Hah! If athletes were good actors, they would be actors, darn it. Leave it to the professionals I think!
I did watch True Blood though! I'm a big sucker for sci-fi and fantasy though, so it really doesn't take much to hook me on a show like that (unless it's really, really, really bad.) I haven't thought about getting into the books yet though! You'll have to let us know what the verdict is when you've read the first one! :D |

It's this new show on HBO from the creator of Six Feet Under and the writer of American Beauty. I kind of liked Six Feet Under but American Beauty was the biggest overrated piece of shit movie EVER. |

Maybe you guys can help me with a mix I'm doing (for my sister, it's kind of an inside joke that isn't actually funny, and tangentially involves Bono, and is mostly about irritating my mother...but, yeah. You had to be there.)
Anyways there will be two volumes:
I'm looking for songs that have the word "Baby" in them...but REPEATED multiple times in a row. (I'm kind of undecided on that really...but I'd like them to be in a row or very close together at least.) Here's what I have so far.
1. Can you Tell - Ra Ra Riot
2. Stereo - Pavement
3. Baby One More Time - Travis
4. Uptown Again - Afghan Whigs
5. Baby Ate My Eightball - Super Furry Animals
And If I have to give Up on the repetition aspect there's these (close together but not in a row):

Any the second Mix I'm doing has to have the word "Sexy" in it, in any incarnation really. You can translate this one as loosely as you want.

5. Sexy in Latin - Little Man Tate

Hahaha! Not that I know of. (Though I can see how you'd come to that conclusion. ;))
I guess I can tell the long and winding story:
One day a while ago, I cut out a picture of Bono Jogging with a Bottle of Dasani water in his hand, and we laughed because he looked like Matthew Perry from friends in that particular picture. Then I taped it to my sister's door. It stayed there for YEARS. The door got painted once and she put it right back up there. So every time we walked by I would point at it and say "SEXY" and then she would say "Oh, Baby!" or vice versa. This was the required dialog whenever anything Bono was mentioned (yeah, I know, we're strange. Disclaimer: we didn't actually think Bono was sexy.)
So then we started saying it at the dinner table for no reason. And we'd cup our hands around our lips and just mouth it each other so my mom couldn't see what we were saying. It drove her CRAZY, and we thought it was hilarious.

Hehe...cute story Dak! What about that new "Sex On Fire" song by Kings of Leon? (I actually don't like this song, but it's on the friggin' radio all the time). Oh, or "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails...that might be the dirtiest song I'm a fan of, lol.
